Day of Event

  1. Double-check that you have all supplies (or call to check on delivery status). Being prepared is the best way to start the day.

  2. Get to the cleanup site 30-45 minutes early.

  3. Set up your command center. This will be where you put out water, snacks, printed materials (use a heavy object to combat wind), and all your cleanup supplies.

  4. Put on a big smile and have fun! You are a powerful kid who is making a big difference. Use that confidence and know that no matter how smoothly your event goes, you did it! Be sure to take pictures to share with the community and friends.

  5. Did no one show up? Wait a while to see if people are late. Still no one? It happens! Don’t let it get you down. Clean the area and take some pictures of your efforts to use on your next cleanup. Tomorrow we can reflect on the success of your event and think about ways to improve it.
